Adam Davies joined the Club on a three-year deal in the summer of 2019 following a hugely successful five year-spell with Barnsley.
Having started his youth career with Everton, he then joined Sheffield Wednesday, but moved across South Yorkshire in 2014 after failing to make a first team appearance for the Owls.
Finally given his chance with the Tykes, Davies seized the opportunity with both gloves as he went on to make 209 appearances across the Championship and League One, winning the EFL Trophy in 2016.
His displays in the Barnsley goal earned him his first Wales cap earlier in the summer, before helping the Tykes to promotion at the end of the 2018/19 campaign with a joint-league-best 19 clean sheets.
Swapping Yorkshire for the Potteries, Davies made his City bow at home to Birmingham City towards the end of the 2019/20 season, keeping a clean sheet in a 2-0 victory, and went on to appear in the three remaining games.
He retained the number one jersey to start 2020/21, and kept three clean sheets in eight games, alongside making another Wales appearance, before a long-term injury ruled him out for several months.
Following recovery, the Welshman would go on to play nine more times that season, and kept six more clean sheets, as he competed with Joe Bursik for the starting role between the sticks.
