Bio
Aden Flint became Stoke City’s first arrival of the 2022 summer transfer window, signing a one-year contract.
The central defender arrives in North Staffordshire with a wealth of experience in the professional game.
After starting his career with non-league outfit Alfreton Town, the 32-year-old helped Swindon Town to promotion from League Two in his first full campaign with the Robins.
A strong showing in his maiden season in the third tier prompted Bristol City to swoop for his services, a club for whom he enjoyed considerable success.
The 6ft 6in defender scored 15 goals in his second season at Ashton Gate to help the Robins clinch the League One title and lift the EFL Trophy at Wembley.
Flint won the club’s Player of the Season award the following year as City retained their place in the Championship.
After helping the Robins reach the EFL Cup semi-finals in 2017/18, Flint moved to Middlesbrough the following summer in a multi-million pound deal.
Following a season on Teesside, Flint moved to the Welsh capital and scored 12 goals in 92 appearances.
