Midfielder
Bio
Right-footed left-winger Edwin Andersson joined the Potters from Premier League side Chelsea in the summer of 2022.
The Swedish attacker began his career with Sweden-based club IFK Goteborg before joining Chelsea’s Under-18s side in 2020 for a nominal fee. Andersson would go on to spend two years in London before arriving at the bet365 Stadium. He also had a trial at Manchester United before signing for the Blues.
By the time he had turned 19, Andersson had been selected for international duty by Sweden at every age group excluding Under-20s, Under-21s, and senior level. Andersson has been awarded 19 caps for his country at youth level and has scored three goals after making his international debut for Blågult’s Under-15s in August 2018.
Andersson, who was born in Domkyrko, is quick, tricky, two-footed, and has fantastic vision in addition to having the capability to play as a winger or wing-back on both sides.
The Swede made his debut for City's Under-21s in August 2022 during a 1-0 win for Kevin Russell’s side.
