  • Winger heads to Vale Park on loan
  • Potters have option to recall him in January
  • The move is part of 21-year-old’s development plan

Stoke City can confirm that Liam McCarron has this evening joined Port Vale on loan until the end of the season, with the Club having an option to recall him in January.

The Potters signed the 21-year-old winger from Leeds United earlier this summer on a three-year contract with the intention of handing him an immediate loan opportunity to enable him to gain valuable first-team experience.

Having already contended with the upheaval of a move from West Yorkshire to the Potteries in recent months, we feel the opportunity for him to play on a regular basis for Vale whilst remaining based in the city suits all parties.

The Club will be closely monitoring Liam’s progress and we wish him every success during his time at Vale Park.
